Key Responsibilities
As a Software Engineer II-1 at Mastercard, you will:
- Develop application logic for multi-component systems using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
- Ensure the final product is highly performant, responsive, and defect-free.
- Maintain high unit test coverage standards and support code quality through automation.
- Collaborate with testing teams to remediate defects and assist with automation tasks.
- Actively participate in agile ceremonies, including Daily Scrum, Sprint Planning, and Retrospectives.
- Deliver secure, scalable solutions that align with Mastercard’s standards.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and implement them as needed.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in software development.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
- Strong knowledge of REST API development, JPA, Hibernate, and RDBMS.
- Hands-on experience with front-end technologies like React JS or Angular (added advantage).
- Familiarity with Jenkins CI/CD, Sonar integration, and Tomcat.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms like Pivotal Cloud Foundry, AWS, Azure, or GCP is preferred.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Industry Experience: Experience in the financial services sector is a plus.
