Key Responsibilities
As a Software Engineer – Backend at Zeotap, you will:
- Design, develop, and implement products and modules with a focus on performance, scalability, and fault tolerance.
- Explore and operationalize new technologies to enhance Zeotap’s platform.
- Handle escalations and customer issues, ensuring timely resolution.
- Act as a consultant to internal stakeholders, providing creative solutions for customer needs.
- Work on diverse technologies, including business logic, big data, web applications, and event processing.
- Take complete ownership of features/modules, ensuring high-quality delivery.
- Adhere to Zeotap’s company, privacy, and information security policies.
- Complete all assigned awareness training on time.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for this role, you must meet the following criteria:
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in information systems, computer science, or a related field (preferred).
- Experience: 0-1 years of experience in building and deploying high-scale solutions.
- Technical Skills:
- Expert coding skills in one or more of Java, Scala, or Go.
- Strong understanding of data access patterns, caching technologies, and OLTP databases.
- Deep knowledge of NoSQL databases.
- Basic understanding of distributed systems and design.
- Hands-on experience with queueing systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Familiarity with REST web app frameworks.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong foundation in data structures and algorithms.
- Ability to adapt to emerging technologies and work in a fast-paced environment.
Bonus Skills:
- Experience with Apache Spark or other big data technologies.
- Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
